The effect of the way of adding recarburizer on the absorption rate:

 1. The recarburizer is added to the furnace when charging

 When charging, mix the recarburizer with the charge and place it on the bottom and middle of the induction furnace. When charging, the recarburizer is added to the furnace along with the metal charge. Due to the longer action time, the recarburization efficiency is higher than when adding iron. Molten iron is much higher. The carbon increase efficiency is higher.

 2. The recarburizer is added to the furnace when charging

 Adding a recarburizer to the ladle during tapping, the recarburization efficiency is much lower than that of the furnace

 3. Adding time of recarburizer

 If the recarburizer is added too early, it will easily adhere to the bottom of the furnace, and the recarburizer attached to the furnace wall will not be easily melted into the molten iron. On the contrary, if the addition time is too late, the opportunity to increase carbon will be lost, resulting in slow smelting and heating time. This not only delays the time for chemical composition analysis and adjustment, but also may cause harm due to excessive heating. Therefore, it is better to add the recarburizer little by little during the process of adding the metal charge.
