1. Artificial graphite

The best quality is artificial graphite. The main raw material is used to produce artificial graphite powder high-calcined petroleum coke, asphalt is used as a binder in it, and other excipients are added in a small amount. As the price of artificial graphite products in my country is relatively expensive, the artificial graphite recarburizers commonly used by foundries are mostly recycled materials such as chips, waste electrodes and graphite blocks when manufacturing graphite electrodes in China to reduce production and management costs.

2. Petroleum coke

Petroleum coke is a widely used carbonizing agent. Petroleum coke is the crude oil obtained by refining crude oil by-product at atmospheric pressure or the vacuum distillation of petroleum pitch to obtain a residue that can be used as a raw material to prepare petroleum coke, and petroleum coke is then obtained through original coking. Petroleum raw material coke has a sponge, needle, granular and fluid state. Calcined petroleum coke is produced by the largest user of aluminum, 70% of the production of bauxite used for anode reduction. The calcined petroleum coke produced by American companies accounts for about 6% of the cast iron recarburizer.

3. Natural graphite

Natural graphite can be divided into flake graphite and microcrystalline graphite. Microcrystalline graphite with high ash content, cast iron is generally not used as a recarburizer.

4. Coke and anthracite

In the process of electric arc furnace steelmaking, coke or anthracite can be added as a recarburizer during charging. Because of its high ash and volatile content, induction-controlled electric furnace smelting cast iron can rarely be used as a recarburizer.
